The VIA Survey Center is where you can take three surveys:
1. The VIA Survey of Character (formerly called the VIA-IS). It reveals your unique constellation of 24 VIA Character Strengths. What are your top or Signature Character Strengths? What strengths form your core or central approach to life? Which strengths can you lift or elevate for more satisfaction in life? The 240 questions take about 45 minutes or less. You'll immediately receive a report of your strengths in top-down order with a brief description of each strength. It is the most scientifically validated tool available for measuring character strengths.
2. The VIA Brief Strengths Test is a separate, shorter measure of character strengths for adults. It is a 48-question survey that takes about 15 minutes.
3. The VIA Youth Survey is for young people, ages 10 – 17. It takes about 40 minutes to complete.
The VIA Survey on Character is made available, free of charge, to all through funding provided by the Manuel D. and Rhoda Mayerson Foundation, Cincinnati, Ohio. It was created by Dr. Christopher Peterson, who also created the VIA Briefs Strengths Test. The VIA Youth Survey is by Dr. Nansook Park.
